Walkway Snow Clearing in Oro-Medonte: Steps, Decks and Doors

What We Clear by Hand

The visit covers the path from the driveway to each door you list, the front steps and landing, side and back doors, and deck stairs. We add the path to a propane tank or oil fill on request, since a driver who cannot reach it may leave without filling.

We also dig out the green civic address sign at the road. Paramedics and fire crews look for that number first.

Decks, Roofs and Where We Stop

The Township's building department notice on snow and ice on roofs tells owners to clear decks, entrances and the civic sign, and says any crew hired for roof work must follow Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act.

We clear decks and anything at ground level. We do not go on roofs. Roof work needs a crew with fall-protection gear and training, and we tell you that up front.

Slips and the 60-Day Notice

Since January 29, 2021, Ontario's Occupiers' Liability Act gives someone hurt on snow or ice 60 days to send written notice to the occupier or to the snow contractor the occupier hired.

Every visit we make carries a time stamp and a photo. If a guest falls on your steps, you have a dated record of when the path was last cleared.

What Affects the Price

The number of doors, the step count, the size of the deck and the length of the path set the time a crew spends on foot. Steps that ice over can take a measured scoop of ice melt from sanding and ice control.

Walkways ride along with driveway snow plowing or a seasonal snow contract, priced in the same written quote.

Do you clear the path to my propane tank or oil fill?

Yes, if you add it at sign-up. We clear it on every visit so the delivery driver can reach the fill.
Will you shovel my roof?

No. We clear decks and ground level and stay off roofs, which need a crew equipped and trained for fall protection.
Do you salt the steps?

When you ask for it, steps get ice melt measured by the scoop. It is priced per application under ice control.
Can I set this up for a parent who lives alone?

Yes. We send the visit text and photo to you, and the walkways go in the same quote as the driveway.
